Sidewinders - Sidewinder Frenzy (LP)

Gene Slanders & the Sidewinders formed in 1984 and consisted of Tony Sheridan jr (lead guitar), Dave Lawson (drums),Dave Jordon (Upright Bass),Garry Slade (lead vocals). In 1985 Dave Lawson left the band and was replaced by Alan Waterfield. Not long after Alanjoined the Gene Slanders was dropped and just the Sidewinders used as it was thought to be a bit to long winded, in around 1986 Tony Coni joined the band as a second guitarist.The band toured the UK and did various T.V and radio shows in the same year they signed to Nervous Records and were due to releasea album of original material, but the only tracks released were the 2 on Zorch Factor One as the band split in 1987. The two tracks ‘hot rod baby’ and ‘ghost train’ were due to be released as
as a single but because of the split that also fell through. There were high quality recordings of the tracks but unfortunately the only surviving copies are these two of a old cassette tape…
